My name is John Miranda, and I want to tell you why creativity is so important in my life. There is one story I always refer back to when I talk about creativity, and I’m excited to share this story with you. When I was a little kid, there was an event being hosted at a mall near us. They had a special thing constructed just for that event. It was this huge faucet suspended in the air, that wasn’t connected to anything, and it was still pouring out water like it was connected to a water source somehow. When we visited the mall to see this jaw dropping contraption. I remember just standing there frozen in amazement. I couldn’t believe that this faucet was real, and that it was right there in front of me. The people hosting this event wanted all the kids to fill out a paper form guessing how this faucet worked. I wanted to write down that it was magical, because that’s what it really felt like to me.
That experience changed my life. To witness how someone can create an interesting design, and spark an overwhelming excitement to see this creation being brought to life. If I were to ever witness another event like this one, and I was asked how it worked, my answer would not change. Creativity is magical. The excitement born from creativity is so overwhelmingly powerful that children are able to influence their parents to witness these magical events for themselves.
This is why when I say “Inspire Excitement Through Creativity” it is coming directly from my heart. Where my inner child is still inspired by the magic of creativity. There aren’t enough of these moments in our lives. Let’s try our best to create more of these magical moments that will be cherished for a lifetime. Not only for you, but for your children too!
